Last Saturday at the 6th of April 2013, we were invited by the ///M Owners Club Indonesia (or MOCI for short) for their track day challenge on the Sentul International Circuit. We sent our photographers and videographers there to capture the excitement happening on that day forwards. The event it self was set for those who wanted to max their sport cars and supercars on the track, not only for the MOCI themselves.
More than 150 cars showed up, including SpeedCreed, SCCI, nuvolks, Mini Club Indonesia, AMG Club Indonesia, Lamborghini Club Indonesia and also the Porsche Club Indonesia.
Let's take a walk through the parking lot, which is set at the paddock area behind the pit.
Creativity at it's best, ///M stripes on the grill of this E60 M5
This Mini is on fire. Well, not literally. Alicia Keys would say that if she saw this Mini.
It is what you see it is, F10 M5 and X6M Safety Car. These guys don't mess about, even with the pace cars
More MOCI members showed up in their 1M's, M3's, M5's, X6M, and also M6's
The Lamborghini Club Indonesia showed up, the first member showed up in this fearsome matte black Aventador. Looking fierce, ready to eat the corners at Sentul
Thus, this 458 showed up and generously opening it's engine bay to reveal the V8 it uses. Very beautiful indeed
Z3 with AC Schnitzer's on it? Plainly, it's as tasty as Gordon Ramsay's cooking. Well, I'm not sure how it tastes, but it is a match. Belissimo
Then, Many Lambos started showing up
Guys from nuvolks, including Dicky our project manager for the video.
Also Porsche Club Indonesia, started to gather around the paddock
Did I mention that I and Hafizh are big fans of AMG Mercs? Now you know.
Old versus new, never gets old.
Packed with many cars from communities, the event started by an opening and a short briefing from the heads of MOCI.
On with the event then...
The first event was the Drag Race for the MOCI members. All of the M's lined up for a half kilometer run (if you didn't know how the universal measurements work, it's the same as quarter of a mile).
One rare species, the M3 GTS. Stripped down to meet the demand of speed. We gotta have one of those lol.
While the rest of the crew was busy taking pics and videos, Josh took a ride in one of the member's M5.
This very F10 M5 has 700BHP on its twin turbo heart. In Top Gear maths, it has hit the Ferrari territory. Nice work, bro.
The next was, the Drag Race for the other community. Where the owners of super cars and other sport cars could compete one with another.
This CLS AMG with its 6.2 liter Bi-turbo V8 looks beautiful and also promisingly fast on the track
If it looks good while parking, looks good on the track. But, one blink, and you'll miss it
Top of the line on their own class
This SLS AMG is unbeatable by all of the sport cars that were present on that day. Note: Sport cars
Porsche has big balls standing between two raging Italian horses
After the break, the organizers continues with the next agenda. The Fun Race
Lined up and ready to go.
An M5 pace car with ADV.1's? It's so good, I had a crisis just by looking at it.
Different makes, same car genre, same passion, one unity. Well known mark for Indonesians
Oversteering is never boring
An SUV on a track? No problems. Difference can make something special.
Loudest M3 on the track. Stand under 1 meter from it while it's revving, tomorrow you might need a hearing aid
At the end of the day we were tired, but it's a joy, previlage and an honor to be at this event.
Video courtesy of the event will be coming soon.
